Netflix question?????????

Ok so I just signed up for Netflix yesterday and I just added season 1 of "Thriller" to my queue. Now will I receive the first disc in the mail or do I have to do something else? I just looked at my account and they said there is "no recent DVD shipping activity". Do I have to wait a while for it to process until it says it has shipped from their distribution centers? Thank you
