Dance Question about solo!?

So this year im dancing to youll find a way by santigold the version on fame. me and a friend of mine were wanting to put something diffrent in it(a prop or something) so we thought about taking like a hair ribbon it has two ends lol one end gets tied around one wrist the other end ties around the other wrist to where im limited to opening my arms as far and the song is called youll find a way and i would be finding a way to break it and at one point im going to have a snap in the middle and turn around towards the back while doing some choreograhy but unsapping it toward it looks the ribbon broke. what do you think? also you can look at me youtube page(lalaleah0112) to see how i dance and what im capable of if you need that to answer my question we wanted something diffrent and ive never seen anyone do it i just want to make sure it sounds good.
