What does the back of a fiber optics internet modem/ router look like?

I'm curious to know how fiber optics internet modems/ routers look on the back especially how they are connected such as coxail or phone line. I'm suppose to be getting fiber optics but not sure if I am just getting a 20mbps dsl connection and not actual fiber optics.
